Stuart Rowley

Mr Rowley remains actively involved in the Australian Healthcare Services, Accreditation Standards and Management. He has more than 20 years of experience as a Consultant and Surveyor with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) which is Australia’s National HealthCare Accreditation Body. He has surveyed more than 50 Hospitals both in Australia and overseas such as United Kingdom and Ireland. He has also been the Surveyor’s Team leader for more than 30 hospitals.
Mr Rowley is also a Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Executives where he has held all executive positions within the Victorian State Branch and also served twice on the National Council. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management;
His previous roles include; CEO of Mercy Hospital for Women (Victoria’s largest specialist women’s hospital) in Melbourne Australia, CEO of LaTrobe Regional Hospital (Victoria’s first privatised public hospital), Executive Director of The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne Australia, Executive Director of Echuca Regional Health as well as completing other short term Consultant CEO appointments at Hamilton Base and Kyabram Hospitals in rural Victoria, Australia.
Mr Rowley is currently completing his Doctoral Studies in Public Health at La Trobe University in Melbourne with special interest in Clinical Risk Management.
