Michael Bertaut is a Certified Health Consultant and Professional of the Academy of Healthcare Management.  He has 20 years of Analytical Experience in the Healthcare, Telecom, and Retail Sectors.  His collaboration on  a Position Paper on Doctor Populations in Post-Katrina New Orleans was recently honored with  a Lantern Award, the highest honor given by the Southern Public Relations Federation. 

 

In May of 2010, he was asked to join the editorial board of the Healthcare Journal of Baton Rouge.

 

Michael is also a financial modeler, responsible for the models which forecast membership activity for the 1.2 million Louisianans who are members of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.  

 

Since May of 2009 Michael has engaged in over 150 public discussions on Healthcare Costs and the Politics of Reform with stakeholder groups ranging from healthcare insiders to your local Kiwanis Club.

 

Michael earned his MBA and BA from Louisiana State University.  He is a lifelong Louisiana Resident and a Licensed Health and Life Produce currently employed as the Senior Healthcare Intelligence Analyst for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
